Introducing Executive Director School!
Read on to learn more about a new service provided by Amy Brugh Consulting: a cohort training for new and incoming executive directors.
Audience:
The audience for Executive Director School is new or incoming executive directors for small to mid-sized nonprofits in Minnesota. Executive Director School may also be useful to interim executive directors or to nonprofit leaders who are considering becoming an executive director. The goal is for each cohort to be small enough for interaction and discussion between participants.
Timelime:
The first Executive Director School begins on Friday, October 14 and concludes on Friday, November 11 with an optional individualized session during the week of November 14. The exact times for each session will be determined by the cohort, but will likely take place from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. each week.
Modules:
There are five modules in the Executive Director School, with an option to add on on individual session:
Leadership Approach and Style
Board of Directors Partnership and Liaison
Workplace Culture, Staff Development and Management
Budget, Finance, and Fundraising
Operations
Optional Individual Session
Course Mode, Methods and Delivery:
Executive Director School is held via Zoom. There may be in-person opportunities for the cohort and for an individual session with Amy.
The course includes modules prepared and presented by Amy, interactive opportunities with participants, and guest “experts.”
Participants in an Executive Director School cohort will learn from “experts” and from each other. We will develop relationships along the way. Adjustments may be made based on the cohort.
Executive Director School is not asychronous nor is it didactic.
Workbook:
Each module will include a basic workbook with prepared content and options to tailor a plan for your own role and organization.
Cost:
The cost of Executive Director School is $750 for five weekly modules of 2 hours each. There is an option to add an additional individualized session for $250.
There is a sliding scale for Executive Director School. Participants may choose where they land on a scale of:
$750 (cost of course)
$500 (reduced cost)
$1,000 (for those who are able to pay more to support others’ participation)

Early Registration is due by Friday, September 23. Early registrants receive a discount of $100.

Preview Sessions are scheduled for Friday, September 16 and Friday, September 30 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. and will be held on Zoom.
